Describe a person you know who helps others in their spare time.

               You should say:

 who it is

 how you know them (= him or her)

 what they do to help others

   and explain how you feel about this person. *

Notes

  • So far (at May 3), two different versions of this topic have been reported: a) Describe someone you know who gives help to others  b) Describe someone who gave you help. I tend to think it is a).

  • The words, "in their spare time" mean that you should not talk (much) about what this person does for a job.

Describe a time you received advice on choosing a job or subject.

        You should say:

                    when you received the advice

                    who gave you the advice

                    what the advice was

        and explain how you felt after listening to the advice. *

 

 

Note

  • In the first line, "Describe a time you received advice on choosing a job or subject", the word, "job" might actually be "career". The word "subject" is the British style of saying, "major" but it can also be interpreted to mean simply a class at university or a similar institute.

  • The last line, (after, "and explain") might not be 100% accurate here.
