         You should say:

                   where you (first) heard this song or melody

                   how old you were when you first heard it *

                   what kind of song or melody it was *

                   what the song (or melody) was about *

         and explain why/how you remember this song. *

        and explain how you felt (or feel now) when you heard (or hear) this song. *

Notes

• The wording is probably, "Describe a song or piece of music that you remember from your childhood." But the word, "melody" is probably a more appropriate word to use for childhood music and it's good for you to add that to your vocabulary!

• It's possible the wording is, "Describe a song or piece of music that you enjoyed in your childhood."

• Someone has mentioned that the words, "what kind of song it was" are in the wording. See Note on this question and all of this Part 2 topic.

• It is appropriate, and good communication to sing (or hum) a little of the song but it is unsuitable to sing (or hum) for more than ten seconds in a speaking test!

• If you sing in a language besides English, you should immediately explain what those words mean. That is good communication – to not explain the meaning of the words is poor communication.

• Pay attention to the past tense here – almost every verb you use should be a past tense verb!

• Don't use the example of a video game such as a "Game Boy" as a toy. That's not really a "toy".
