Notes
Although most examples of changes to your hometown are man-made changes, it seems that the wording also allows for describing some natural change, if you choose to describe that. But 100% natural changes in towns and cities, without any help from humans, are not very common except in places that have been untouched by humans, such as abandoned areas.
Someone has reported that the words, "changed quickly" are used in the wording. This means you should not describe a change that took many decades or hundreds of years to happen! Therefore, you should talk about a change that happened in a few weeks, months or years, not a change that occurred over many years.
