You should say:

and explain why you would like to try it.

Version B

Describe a sport or game you enjoy playing. *

You should say:

what it is

where you play it *

who you play it with *

and explain why you enjoy this sport or game. *

Notes

I think Version A is the wording being used now. The person who reported Version B was not very clear. That looks more like a Part 3 topic.
If the word "game" really is included in the wording then, of course, you could talk about a game such as chess.

I might be wrong but this question leads me to believe that it might be a mistake (i.e., not a real Part 2 topic). It might have been part of the Part 3 discussion (for the candidate who reported it) for Topic 1012. A Challenging Thing You Did or for Topic 1020. A Goal.
This might really be Topic 1043.
