* = my guess at a question
Notes
This topic was reported several times in the Jan-May 2020 test period, but reported outside Mainland China. This might be exactly the same as Topic 926, which was used in Mainland China from Jan to May 2019.
Sometimes one or more topics that have recently bee retired in China are still reported as being used in other parts of the world, probably indicating that many topics are first used in China and later used elsewhere.
However, unlike Topic 926, this time
no-one has reported it as, "
No-one has reported the difficult Part
3 questions under the topic of, "
Therefore, I am treating this as a new topic.

Describe a time when you missed an appointment.
You should say:
where it happened
what it was about
why you missed it it
and explain how you felt after missing the appointment.
Describe a situation (or time) when you were late.
You should say:
what you were late for
why you were late
what you did about being late *
what happened because you were late
and explain how you felt about being late.
Notes
Most likely Version A is the correct version in use now.
It is possible that this topic really is about being late for an appointment, Version B.
If you are late for an appointment, you eventually get there (on the same day). But if you miss an appointment, you never get there (on the day of the appointment). So the two are completely different,
Strangely, at least one person has reported this as something like, "Describe a time when you saw someone who you hadn't seen in a while." That doesn't look like a real Part 2 question but it is possible, as another Part 2 topic, not this one.

Appointments (= meetings)

Time Management

Notes
The word, "dinner" might be used instead of "meal". "Dinner" is "the main meal of the day", usually the evening meal.
Notice that the wording does not necessarily mean that you enjoyed the food. A dinner, or any meal, is an event and it is possible to say you enjoyed it mainly because of the people you were with - you enjoyed their company.
A similar (or
identical) topic has been used several times in the past. Some of the past
topics were labeled as "special meal". See
Special Meals

National / Traditional Foods

have different national dishes (or, different national cuisines)?
Do you think it's important for people today to continue practicing the
traditional food (or, culinary) customs from their culture?
The word reported was "delayed" but we usually say, "postpone" a meeting, appointment or event, which means the same as delay. Make sure you know the differences between, "postpone", "cancel" and "miss".
